Descripción general
Red light therapy — also called low-level light therapy (LLLT), photobiomodulation or LED therapy — uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to gently energise your cells. The light is absorbed by the mitochondria, lifting the cellular energy (ATP) that skin, scalp and healing tissue use to repair and renew.
It is non-invasive, painless and needs no downtime — you simply relax under the light. We use it on its own, and to enhance recovery after other treatments.
Red and near-infrared light are widely used to support recovery after minor procedures. We often add it after a hair transplant and alongside skin treatments and minor surgery — to calm inflammation, reduce redness and swelling, and help the skin heal.
Clinical reviews of post-operative photobiomodulation report faster healing and lower pain scores — see LED photobiomodulation & wound healing (Lasers in Medical Science, 2024). Your doctor will advise whether it suits your procedure.
Con qué frecuencia
Red light works by building up. Most men do 2–3 short sessions a week over several weeks, then taper to maintenance. Sesións take about 15–20 minutos with no downtime — your exact plan is set with your doctor.
