What causes Hair Loss?

DHT binds to receptors in the hair follicles, causing miniaturization, shortening the hair growth phase (anagen), and prolonging the resting phase (telogen). Over time, this leads to the production of finer, shorter, and less pigmented hairs until eventually, the follicles cease producing hair altogether.
Other contributing factors may include autoimmune disorders, thyroid abnormalities, nutritional deficiencies, stress and inadequate sleep.
