A permanent treatment for hair loss
Hair Transplant Procedure
DHI (Direct Hair Implantation) is an advanced hair transplant and hair restoration procedure designed to treat hair loss, receding hairlines, and thinning hair in both men and women. The procedure involves harvesting individual healthy hair follicles from the donor area and precisely implanting them into areas of hair thinning or baldness using specialised implantation techniques.
Compared to traditional hair transplant methods, DHI hair transplant offers enhanced precision, refined hairline design, minimal scarring, and natural-looking results. As a minimally invasive hair restoration procedure, DHI does not require linear incisions or stitches, allowing for reduced downtime and a smoother recovery process.
At Menhance Clinic, we offer both shaven and non-shaven DHI hair transplant options, allowing patients to choose the most suitable approach based on their lifestyle, preferences, and aesthetic goals.
Widely recognised worldwide, DHI hair transplant in Thailand has become an increasingly popular solution for patients seeking long-term, natural hair restoration with minimal disruption to daily life.

Our Before & After Photos

What are the steps in the DHI Hair Transplant process?
Consultation
The process begins with a consultation with our hair transplant doctor. During this assessment, the patient’s hair loss pattern, scalp condition, donor area quality, and medical history are carefully evaluated to determine suitability for Direct Hair Implantation (DHI).
Once confirmed as a suitable candidate, the doctor will discuss the desired hairline design, density goals, and estimated graft requirements. A deposit is then required to secure the treatment date.
Donor Area Preparation
Prior to the procedure, the donor area is trimmed to allow for precise extraction of healthy hair follicles. Local anaesthesia is administered to ensure patient comfort throughout the procedure.
Extraction of Hair Follicles
Using specialised micro-extraction tools, individual hair follicles are carefully extracted from the donor area while preserving graft integrity and viability for implantation.
Direct Hair Implantation (DHI)
The extracted follicles are implanted directly into the recipient area using a specialised implantation pen technique. This advanced method allows for precise control over the angle, depth, and direction of each implanted follicle to achieve natural-looking density and hairline design.
By minimising handling of the grafts and reducing the time follicles remain outside the body, DHI is designed to support optimal graft survival and refined aesthetic outcomes.
Post-Procedure Care
Following the procedure, patients are provided with detailed aftercare instructions, including scalp care guidance, washing instructions, activity restrictions, and prescribed medications to support healing and recovery.
Recovery and Hair Growth
In the weeks following the procedure, the transplanted follicles enter a temporary resting phase before gradually producing new hair growth. Initial growth is typically seen within several months, with continued improvement over time and final results generally visible between 9–12 months.
